Let me encourage you to start a small group in your church and invite other caregivers from your community to participate. I lead a small group at my church and we have women of all ages, caring for loved ones with cancer, developmental disabilities, dementia, etc. Some women are caring for children with challenges AND aging parents. Whew! The variety of experiences and wisdom is rich.

Discuss the messages on from the encouragement section of this website.  (We are working on making the curriculum that we use available for everyone.) You will be surprised at how quickly your group will bond and begin sharing hope and resources. Pray for each other and let the needs of the folks in your group be known to your church. They can begin to support you with meals, sitters, transportation, fellowship and love – right where you are. You don’t have to get to church every Sunday to receive the blessings of fellowship, but you do have to let them know what you need and you have to have the grace to receive it!
