Colossians 3:23-24 (NIV) Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
While it may be hard to gain this perspective, the person you are caring for is Christ in our midst. They are not the disease or disability. They are a precious human being who is afflicted. Ask God to give you eyes to see them as He sees them – fully human, blessed and loved.
